CH26 | Chair | Walnut - Natural Paper Cord

The CH26 dining chair by Hans J. Wegner came to life in 2016. The chair is part of a series of iconic chairs that Wegner created exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950. Together with the CH22 armchair, Wegner had created a design to translate the shape of the armchair into a dining chair, the CH26. Yet he never actually made a model of the chair and it remained unknown to the public for decades. In 2016 Carl Hansen & Søn gave life to the design of the CH26 that recalls the lounge version, with its organic shapes, the refined backrest and the hand-woven seat, and presents ideal proportions for long moments of sitting at the dining table or at the desk.
